Community Involvement

Pawsitively Clean® and our parent company, BISSELL, are dedicated to sustainability, social responsibility and supporting and giving back to the communities we operate in. We strive to stay active in our community and support a wide variety of non-profit organizations, both nationally and in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Some examples of organizations and non-profits particularly close to our hearts include:

The BISSELL Pet Foundation™, which was founded by Cathy Bissell in 2011, helps unwanted pets find homes through assisting animal welfare organizations. Through pet adoption, spay and neuter programs, microchipping and foster care, the Foundation aims to reduce the number of animals in shelters. Much of the BPF's support comes from the sale of pet products on Each time a pet product is purchased, a donation in the amount of $1, $5 or $10 is made to the BPF.

Partners for Pets is a BISSELL program that allows animal welfare groups to raise money in a variety of ways. Participating groups can earn proceeds from purchases on, through giveaways and sweepstakes on the BISSELL Pet Foundation Facebook page and through the eligibility to receive one BISSELL pet product annually to use in a raffle or auction. and the Foundation are partners of BISSELL, and we're proud to have supported the Foundation with a series of grants., created by Cathy Bissell, is a free online and mobile website that offers a searchable, national registry of lost and found pets. In addition, pet owners can find other resources and tools to help them during the scary time of losing a pet.

Tour de Force is an annual bike ride that honors the fallen police officers who gave their lives in the September 11, 2001 attacks. Bissell is a sponsor of the annual four-day event.
