How To Remove Pet Vomit Stains
- Gently scrape up semi-solids with a spoon or spatula. Do not use a knife or other utensil with sharp edges because it could damage the carpet or upholstery.
- Blot up liquids with an absorbent cloth or paper towels. White materials are recommended because certain dyes may bleed and make the stain worse.
- Use an oxygen active stain remover. Oxygen-active systems alter the color residues at the molecular level removing even old stains.
- Before cleaning: Test for colorfastness on hidden area. If carpet color is affected do not use the product.
- On upholstery, look for manufacturer's clean ability code tag. Use on fabrics coded "WS" or "W", If coded "X" or "S", do not use.
- Do not use on velvet, silk, vinyl or leather upholstery.
- Spray area with an oxygen active cleaner, allow to penetrate for 3-5 minutes.
- Blot or rub gently with a clean damp colorfast sponge or cloth.
